It shouldn’t matter what gender….

a child is. If they love a toy, that should be the end of it. Who says boys can’t wear pink, or girls can’t like action figures? My son found an old handbag of mine and decided to carry it. It’s a crocheted, black “pouch”. I asked him if that is something he really wants to do, because some people aren’t as open minded as I am. Some adults, who will remain nameless thought it was okay to tease him about it. Now he’s self conscious about it. Before, there a few comments from kids at school, but now they have for the most part accepted it (there are a few who snicker). I applaud any child who knows what they want and goes against the grain. My son, no matter what life throws at him, will know that his mother will have his back. He loves his super heroes as well and likes to carry his things in his pouch! Rock on Captain Bug!
